I’m back with another Offscreen Technologies Ltd app as I said in my last post, about this being the Offscreen app week. So today’s app is Converter. This is not any media converter app for your phone; this is a unit converter app for your phone.
I mean to say that this can convert units of different measurement entities like length, weight, pressure, temperature, etc. There are a number of units to choose from each such measurement entity. This app can be very useful in that you can use it to converter a value from one unit to another very quickly and easily just by selecting the conversion entity or parameter and its conversion units, then you just enter the value in terms of the know unit. The output you get is the same value in the required specified unit. This is tailor made for people like me who can’t keep lengthy conversion formulae for various such entities in their mind and use it like a calculator with the processing speed of a super computer, maybe Tbps (tera bits per second). Right?
I know many people would love this app for its capability and simple interface. At the top of the screen, you get a horizontal bar or a strip kind of thing, which indicates the entity or parameter you are dealing with. You just slide the strip sideways in any of the directions to change the selection and stop at your selection. Next, you get the units below the strip. The first unit represents the unit of which you know the value. The second strip indicates the one which you are supposed get. You enter the values with the given number keypad and the output changes in real time. Very simple.
