Continuing with the review of SPB Mobile Shell, lets take a look at other menus. For example, the following screen shot shows the menu of the Messages widget which you can get on your home screen. This again is not the default menu of your phone, but the next menu from this will be the default of your phone.
Next comes some of the eye candies of the app. Very nice to look at and also increase the user friendly-ness of your phone. The 3D carousel with special effects is a good example of this. It helps you switch between your home screens, contacts and other screen very easily in 3D.
You can see from the above screen shot that the 3D carousel displays the home screen of the Lifestyle and the Professional styles and also the menu or the Launcher. This setup is on my phone due the way I have customized it. You can make up your own home screens the way you want them to be. And this is a part of the 3D carousel. You have to slide through the screens to reveal the ones on the other side. Using this is both fun and useful.
The other options that are available to you from the home screen can be seen in the next screen shot and they are pretty much self explanatory.
Another very good feature in this is the weather widget. You get the weather report for the current day and the forecast for a few coming days. It can be displayed on your home screen, all you have to do is add the Weather widget on your home screen. It automatically updates the info every few minutes so you can get the latest reports.
Coming to the contacts menu, its completely Windows Mobile style. I mean to say that to search a contact, you just need to type in the buttons only once which contain the alphabets of the name of the contact. Windows Mobile, I being one, love this feature. Its really good that this app has implemented this feature. You can switch between the complete list, the favorites list of contacts which you have designed or the call log all from the same menu.
Finally, as I have already mentioned in the first part, this aint a free app. You have to buy a license key for $29.95 and enter the key in the app on your phone. Only then can it be used after the 15 days of trial period.
